We are not a custom knifemaker therefore we cannot provide detailed, custom level service. While we try our best to provide what you want (in terms of horn color, texture, if it is really blonde, or really marble or with stripes, etc), we simply cannot go through our handle inventory and find the "best" one for you; nor we are able to go through all our knife blanks to measure the exact profile for you. Please direct such requests to custom makers.
Knives and Stones accepts secure checkout: Paypal (Guest and Member) and credit card payment provided by Stripe. Your credit card or account infomration is not disclosed to Knives and Stones. Items are quoted based in AUD but shown also in USD, GBP, EURO, therefore price may change frequently. You are chraged in Australian Dollar.
Credit Card Payment
Due to high amount of credit card fraud, Knives and Stones reserves the right to cancel any credit card payment. You are encouraged to pay via PayPal, which give more protection to both you and K&S. I will only accept credit card payment from North America, EU, Hong Kong and Taiwan. I may cancel any credit card payment that I deem unsafe, it is just a mean to project myself, sorry for any inconvenience.
I enabled FREE SHPPING for orders over AU$300 for most countries in NA, West EU and some Asia countries. Orders from these countries will be serviced by DHL, excluding sharpenign stones.
International orders will be shipped by DHL, EMS or AusPost Pack and Track. The cost is about $20 per KG to the US and EU, other countries are slightly higher. However, many knives will come with free shipping or fixed price shipping. All items are dispatched from either Australian or Japan.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
DHL does NOT deliver to PO box, so we won't be able to ship to standard PO box nor APO/FPO address. Some territories are also not included in the free shipping zone, such as (but not limited to): Puerto Rico, Guam, French Polynesia.
International orderes outside Australia
Certain items listed as free ship means buyers will get free Express shipping from anywhere of the world. Heavier items like sharpening stones comes with significantly hgiher cost. While we are actively looking into ways of cheaper shipping options.
I will not ship to high risk countries, such as Indonesia, Lithuania, Sri Lanka or anywhere I deem unsafe, and any order I deem unsafe. For example, someone orders from one country and gets the item shipped to another country.
We reserve the right to cancel any orders that are are not able to fulfill because of longer than expected lead time, or deemed unsafe.
The site may show you USD, EURO, GBP, but it is billed in Australian Dollar. There may incur foreign exchange fee on top of the shown amount, this has nothing to do with Knives and Stones, and the exact amount is bank specific. It is your responsiblity to check with your bank. It is not our responsibility to pay for your forex fee.
Customs Clearance and Duty / Tax
Customer is responsible for the clearance of the orders and paying the necessary tax / duty. K&S is not responsible for any delay or other issues caused by the customs clearance process.
Product not as described, or damgaged upon arrival
Please send me an email directly at: firstname.lastname@example.org or via the contact us page. Usually a replacement will be send out.

Japanese handforged knives are unique to each other therefore the information published on th product information could change without notice. While these knives and sold in an "as is" basis, Knives and Stones does guarantee a strict QC.
Knives and Stones will not disclose your personal information to third party under any circumstance.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four days of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
No returns are accepted without the invoice. No returns are accept if the items are not in their original sell-able condition.
Any damage caused by the user such as, but not limited to, misuse, improper care or storage, bad sharpening technique, will render the item not eligible for any return, exchange or refund.
User is responsible to pack the item well, post the item using traceable service and insure the item in the case of a return. 10% restocking fee applies, if you receive your item as "free shipping", you will also be charged with any shipping cost.
Special orders are not eligible for any exchange, return or refund.
Should the item be sent back for exchange or warranty purpose, we will only reimburse the postage of the knife, unfortunately we will not be able to refund any insurance.
